Midterm/Elína the Fearsome

Stage makeup midterm assignment: create a character combining skills learned in units 1-5. Include full face photo, left side shot, and right side shot. Write a character story explaining decisions made in makeup choices.

Character story (please ignore historical and other inaccuracies... I was just trying to have some fun with the assignment):

"Elína the Fearsome (Elína Björnsdottir) gained unprecedented power at the age of 15 in 997 by killing her father, Olaf the Victorious, who happened to be a king in what is now Sweden. She walked away from the fight with only a vertical slice down her lips and her father’s mighty sword, covered in his own blood. Though only a young woman, her ruthlessness allowed her to easily lay claim to her father’s territory in Uppland and nearby provinces. As a Viking queen, she led her loyal followers to be the terror of all of Svealand, and even parts of Norrland and Götaland. Now at the age of 23, a rough life, in a rough time and place, really show in the lines on her face. She currently wears a hideous black eye, the product of a punch thrown in a fight brought on by a fool making a snide comment about her short stature. Her bruise will fade with a bit of time but sadly for the fool, the tongue she cut from his mouth will never grow back."

And now Mary the Vain must post 3 pictures in which I don't look quite so awful for balance:

Other assignments I didn't post because getting it done was a higher priority than blogging about it:
Sunburn/scratches/very slight black eye
2D sculpting

Now Mary the Cancerous needs to get some reading done for Statistics before chemo tomorrow.
